Roaring into the New Year with Triumphs in Prompt Engineering and AI Innovation
If I could let out a lion’s roar right now, I absolutely would—and it would be a joyful one. A triumphant one. Why? Because last Friday, I hit 3 out of 5 MVPs I set out to create over the Christmas and New Year holiday sprint.
Spoiler alert: I did hit all five.
But today, I want to talk about App #4—how it came to life, and why it matters.
The Power and Importance of Good Prompting
App #4 was born out of frustration—but the good kind. The kind that sparks innovation. For a while now, I’ve been noticing a trend: poor prompting. Sloppy, rushed, ineffective prompts that barely scratch the surface of what large language models can actually do.
It reminded me of getting a one-word reply to a beautifully written message. You know the type—where you’ve put thought, context, and intention into something, only to receive: “Okay.”
That frustration led to a lightbulb moment: What if I created a tool for people who don’t know how to prompt well? What if I used my blog, PRMPTENGINEER.ai, as the springboard for building something that empowers others to get better results from AI?
And that’s exactly what I did. App #4 is a prompting assistant for real humans—not AI pros, but people who want to get things done without having to decode the black magic of LLMs.
Innovation on the Horizon: Nvidia’s Project Digits & AI Computing Power
Then Sunday rolled around, and with it, App #5 and some jaw-dropping news from CES in Las Vegas. Nvidia announced Project Digits, a next-gen AI computer launching in May—just in time for my birthday.
Starting at $3,000, it boasts up to 200 billion parameters, offering the kind of computing power you’d usually find in a $10K–$30K AI server.
And that’s when the gears started turning. I’ve been weighing up whether to invest in serious AI hardware. But let’s be honest: with the apps I’m building—like Speak2Jesus, my AI-driven spiritual chatbot—the compute costs are no joke.
But now, with Project Digits? Suddenly, high-powered, localized, private AI becomes a very real possibility.
Beyond Spiritual Chatbots: Speak2MyAccountant?
Imagine pairing that compute power with a new app—Speak2MyAccountant—an AI voice bot that uses the 2024/25 tax code as its knowledge base. It could answer repetitive tax questions, giving accountants back their time and sanity during tax season.
And the real kicker? This could all run locally, with no need to send sensitive info to the cloud.
The Rise of Emotionally Intelligent Voice Bots
Last week, I jumped on a 2-hour Zoom session demoing the latest in voice AI tools—and wow. I know we say this every year in AI, but seriously, this year hits different.
Last year’s bots? Robotic. This year’s bots? Emotionally intelligent, persona-driven, and eerily human.
One tool in particular—VAPI—left me absolutely stunned. Imagine a voice bot that’s not only natural-sounding but understands tone, context, and can deliver emotionally nuanced replies.
The problem? The tech is still expensive. But again, that’s where Project Digits flips the script. A small, Apple TV–sized local device running an emotionally aware AI bot without sacrificing privacy? That’s not sci-fi anymore—that’s a startup idea waiting to happen.
Final Thoughts: The AI Evangelist Emerges
A good friend recently called me the Billy Graham of AI. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe—TV evangelism isn’t quite my vibe—but the metaphor hit home in a way I didn’t expect.
Because the truth is, I love talking about AI. I love building with it. I love showing people that AI is not the enemy—it’s your co-pilot, your creative partner, your advantage.
2025 is already shaping up to be the Year of the PrmptEngineer.
From MVPs to emerging technologies, emotionally intelligent bots to private AI on your desk—this is just the beginning.
If you’re excited about where AI is going… stick with me. We’re just getting warmed up.
Keep roaring, prompt engineers. And if you’re ready to spread the gospel of AI with me—then join me as an AI Evangelist. 😄
